Contoocook Village Walk Audit - AARP Community Challenge Grant

This is the second in a series of Walk Audits supported by a Community Challenge Grant from AARP.  Breakfast and coffee will be provided!

We will meet at 9am at the Farmers Market, get to know some other interested residents while enjoying coffee and breakfast, then walk for about 30-45 minutes to assess and document the safety and walkability of a specific route in Contooocook Village. This Walk Audit #2 will encompass the route from Riverway Park through the covered bridge, along Park Avenue to the post office, then back to the parking lot via the stone bridge and Main Street. 

What is a Walk Audit?

Walk Audits are a wonderful tool to involve residents of all ages across the community to raise awareness of the economic, social, and health benefits of making our village more walkable and how to accomplish that. The Walk Audits will highlight possible solutions and help folks understand how good infrastructure and design can provide safe and accessible walking.
